You need to post the pic on the web. There are free pic posting sites or use your web page.

Then insert the address in the post you want to show the pic.

You can not post a pic from your PC.

Hope this helps.

You have to up load to a website like www.photobucket.com
and then host it from there to here....

I was just taught that two days ago!

Yes, you can use your own webpage too!
I have one, nice and blank and I have no idea what to do with it to make it less blank

i use photobucket, so if you are also then you want to copy the image window not the url window. that was my mistake for awhile till i did the image window.

To upload pics:

1. Go to the gallery. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/photopost/ We will be making it easier to find in the future.

2. Login to the gallery. Being logged into the forums does not make you logged into the gallery. The username/password is the same but you must login there also.

3. Click on Corvette Pictures.

4. Click on C3 Pictures to see the current categories.
5. Click Upload Photos. It's just under FAQ in the main menu.

6. Choose a category to upload into. You can just upload into the General Upload area if you are not sure of where the picture should go. Or if you think a new category should be created put that in the description.

7. Click browse and find the picture(s) on your computer.

8. Click Upload.

9. Click Process Files on the next screen.

Your picture is now in the queue to be approved.

After your pictures have been aproved:

Goto the picture and right click inside it. Click "properties" in the popup menu. In the properties dialog box, highlight the text next to "URL". With your cursor over the highlighted text, right click again and select "copy" on the popup menu.

Come back here and start your reply. Right click somewhere in the text box you type your reply and select "paste". That alone will create a link. If you'd prefer to actually show the picture, once you've pasted the URL, simply type [img] before the URL and [/img] after it. Leave no spaces, and be sure the URL is complete.

When you want to insert an image in a post:

1. upload to web page (Photobucket.com, etc.)

2. select the pic (on the web page) & highlight the URL (left mouse click on the URL)

3. after the URL is highlighted, right click it again - you should get a
drop down menu, click "copy"

4. while creating your post (CF) - wherever you want the pic in your post, left click the "insert image icon" from the toolbar above the text box (yellow square/two small triangles) this will open another window to enter the URL of the pic with "http://" highlighted

5. hold down your "ctrl" key and press "v" at the same time to "paste" the address URL of you pic, click "OK" button

6. you should see the URL bracketed with [IMG] tags in the CF text box where you're creating the post - you can click the "preview post" button at the bottom of the window to see the post with pic(s) to check it out before actually posting.

You can insert the smilies the same way - right click on one, left click "properties", highlight & copy it's URL, then #4 above.

A picture's worth a thousand words so happy posting.

EDIT: Oops! I see ignoramous1 beat my post - hope it helps anyway!
