Default AC bubbaed what do i do? (pics attached)

the engine/trans swap/steeroids swap started in earnest today and i have a question on what do i do with the ac components/wires that are left after bubba had his way and cut the AC compressor out with bolt cutters. i do not know that much about AC systems so the questions are what are the identified parts and what do i do with them? I am hesitiant to simply cut the wires and terminate them not knowing what they are suppose to do. also since the AC system has been "open" are other components compromised so i should remove them also? at aome time in the future i would like to put ac back in but not in the near future...thks bob

You can cut and terminate all of them. In essence they are all "terminated" as they sit. No problem cleaning them up.

Without an up close shot I cant say for sure but it looks like a resistor of some sort, look on the firewall for a potential mounting spot. Does it have any part #'s or anything on it? If you want to put AC back in, how about keeping them intact, wrapping them in electrical tape or wire loom and tucking them away to clean it up a bit?

I think tha tis a pressure switch. What it does if tha tis the correct switch is not allow the compressor to run if there is no pressure (freon) in the system. Does not allow it to run dry and destroy the compressor. You can just take it out of the system. The condensore is usually toast after all these years and since it has been sitting it is probably bad. I think you have to change it also if you convert to R134 also.

thks, so this is the game plan..... the AC line that goes from the condessor to the evaporator that is cut - will be removed and capped at the evaporator on mounted on the radiator. the Condessor will be removed and line going to Htr box will be capped. The wiring will be tucked away under the fender for possible future use and the "pressure switch" will be disconnected and tucked away under the fender.... does this make sense ???? thks bob

You should have no problem doing that. That will allow you to use the wiring for "future" AC use. It will clean up the engine compartment also.

Cap off evap. & condessor.
Pics. make it hard to tell what some are.
A in second pic. goes to low pressure switch (bottom w/ silver cap) in close up pic.
B in 4th pic. looks like connection to A/C compressor.

The green wires are hot w/ a/c on & there is a wire for idle up- all need to be fixed to not ground. They can be put under rt. fender at evap. as you said.

Probably an early 77.

I would not condem the condenser untill you try it, unless money is no issue to buy a new one. 134a can be used on an R-12 system with only changing the orifice tube or other metering device, and the oil. I would plug the refrigerant line connections to prevent unwanted debris and insects from entering.
