Les,

I bet he was frustrated with the car because he didn't have a 9/16" socket to finish off the work that he needed to do... that's probably why he sold it.

Hey mister, don't even try to lay this off on me!!! I gave that damned socket back to him a coupla years ago. I'm thinking either he went off his psych meds or he never has taken any but is way overdue to start!

OMG.... I see your point. I had gone straight to the pics and just did the usual drooling... but I just went back and carefully read the parts list... You could sell off some parts and have this awesome incredible L-88 for.... ARGHHHH!!! I don't even want to think about it. original engine.... extra rear end.... 3 hoods!! forty-seven intakes... including a 69 tripower intake???? What, no carbs??

Well, now between the four of us, you have the fastest blue 69 427, Les. Maybe you'll start to feel an itch to sell real soon too...

But I will kill you if you do! ...especially if you don't offer it to me first.

Hard to imagine being bored with a nigh-500rwhp car, but it happens I suppose. My dreams of owning a 69 'vette are starting to subside anyhow-- I'm starting to dream of something midengine these days... weighes as much as an early Miata and has a small block ****.

Yea, somebody is getting a killer car. I do wanna make sure that my reference to April Fools Day isn't misinterpreted though- Chuck is nobody's fool. I was implying that he's simply playin us for the fools & that this is all some big joke.

We need to organize a pizza gathering again one of these days.

I'm starting to get used to the new power of the 78. Don't you hate that feeling?

Chuck must have some interesting plans. I told one of my friends about him selling the 69 and he said: "What's he gonna buy next, F1 car?"

Underneath the white Corvette, this Saturday, 11 AM.

Maybe if all four of us show up, we can do a pan gasket / rear main seal / oil pump in just a few hours.

Think we can make the CCC jealous?

No, but I'm sure we could give them a good laugh! I'll try not to put the pan on backwards this time. I promise!

Lucky for me, things like this can only go on one way... not 44 degrees off-center.

I learned a lot about "intake compression power exhaust" that weekend.

I haven't seen anything since he announced the sale of his L88- he may be off licking his wounds somewhere. I sent him an IM last night but haven't heard back yet. I'm sure he'll be around but he may spend most of his time in the C5 section now.

Steve,
There's really no chance I'll ever sell my Vette- other than the ocassional suspension or brake upgrade it's pretty much just the way I want it. Besides, my Z28 would never forgive me if I got rid of its buddy! Pizza???? Did somebody mention pizza????

CCC = Colorado Corvette Crazies.

They are Lar's little group of beer drinking, Corvette driving, rubber burning pals. You get the idea.
