I Have A 1975 Vette With A New Paint Job And My Headlights Are Rubbing The Paint When Opened They Look Like They Are Alligned Ok Is There An Adjustment To Stop Them From Rubbing
Check the headlight support bar (not sure if that is the correct term) to make sure it is bonded to the nose. The bond can break over time or from damage and result in the lights rubbing. I couldn't get the lights on my project car to open without hitting the rear lip of the opening and I later discovered that the bar had detached from the nose.
Is this a problem for the sides? If so, there are two collars on the pivot bar that adjust the side to side clearance. The collars are held in place with allen head set screws. One of mine came loose the other week and chipped a piece of fiberglass from the head light surrounds.

Here's a thread from a while back with some pretty good intructions for adjusting your lights:
Make sure the bar is attached first (as noted above) or you'll have to deal with that before you can start adjusting anything.
Good luck!
Had the same problem after paint...it was the support. I used 3-M fast setting urathane calk and C-clamps to bond it. It's used for sealing windshields, sets in 24hrs and bonds metal to fiberglass real well. Headlights are near perfect now.
