If im correct, you will have problems useing the
air gap rpm, as for the intake is kinda tall.
what year model you working on, a little more info
would help a great deal
Sorry for lack of info,i have a '76 vette with the medium rise hood. Also i am running a drop base air cleaner with a '70 LT1 high rise al. intake. This intake is quite high so i should be able to handle one of the two options memtioned. thanx wade
The SBC RPM intakes are very similiar & same heights. Properly set up you can expect similiar performance. For many years, performance enthusiasts have run blocked heat risers & added a lifter valley baffle for a cooler intake. The divider is sometimes cut down for hotter setups.
Trying an open spacer can help determine if you want a cut divider.
More info. on your setup is needed- C.I., trans. (converter) gears, etc.
