Compared to a fully loaded 20 ton dump truck, I say the vette should do as well. I heard with a high performance engine you can pass everything but a gas station.

Gas mileage? It should be gas footage.

If your looking for a daily driver, this is not your
car, unless you retro it to fuel injection
like TPI,holly pro jection, and so on.

They do burn some gas. I get about 13 mpg and that is probably in the normal range.

Are you thinking of buying a C-3 Sam?
Not sure if you own one, you have no profile.

When I boot it, I can almost watch the gas gauge drop. With a 850cfm, It's like a garden hose line crammed in your manifold. Does not matter? It's just a toy.
It's probably 6-7mpg, but the acceleration rush is worth it. More fun than the "steel Venom" at Valley Fair(our big park), and less expensive.

I have a 1973...stock L82 engine....I'd estimate about 10 mpg around town. I've never had it on the freeway for a long trip so I don't know that figure.

Assuming my '82 is considered a "Stingray" (some people think the cut off was when the General stopped putting the Stingray badge on the cars), I get about 14 in town. However, I turned 25.9 MPG while running AC on a recent highway run. Of course my 82 is powered by the lethargic, 200 HP, 285 ft. lb. of torque crossfire injected motor.
