Needing Quieter mufflers...

I am running a 427 BB car with Heddman headers dumping into a 2 1/2 inch side exaust into purple hornies..The car is about 500 hp and VERY loud.. 3 1/2 inch diameter is the max OD that will fit under these 69 original exaust covers.. Any suggestions of any other muffler that will work? I am seeking a flow master type sound..

If looking to become more quiet, do not seek Flowmaster! I have flowmaster with H pipe no cats hooker headers and I get reverb in the cockpit like you wouldn't believe! I did hear that a Flowmaster serires called "Flow-Pro" are much quieter and still give performance with at high RPM's a muscle like sound..I've also heard good of Magnaflow which are much quieter.

JCL makes a 3 1/2" baffle. If you need 3 1/4", perhaps he would make a custom set...
