Dyno'ed the LS1 conversion
Stopped by SpeedTek on the way home today and dynoed the LS1. How does this sound for a car using the wrong year computer and throwing 16 codes. I think I can pick up 10 horses with tuning and more fuel.
319 rwhp 336 rwtq a/f peaked at 15:1 at 4500 rpms
314 rwhp 328 rwtq a/f peaked at 14:1 at 4700 rpms
311 rwhp 324 rwtq a/f peaked at 14:1 at 4700 rpms
Motor pulls hard all the way to 6500 rpm and was sitting at 190 - 210 degrees the whole time.
Looks like I'm at about 370 to 380 at the flywheel if my LSU math is right. Not bad for a stock motor.

That's probably better than my (almost stock) 1999 Z28 with the LS1 - ignore the codes, the computer seems to be ok

Excellent!
The LS1 was a good choice. I would like to try that swap someday.

It's suppose to be 325 hp stock. I think they were underrated, slightly.
Pat - Nothing more that 100 shot want fix.
I think I will change out the MAF first and see if that frees up some air. You could hear it sucking air throw it. Also need to make sure my fuel pump is keeping up with the engine. I still have the stock lines also.

Congrats!
I want an LS1 in mine someday. Maybe my next project. That swap is definately "next level" from a TPI or even LT1.

Sweeeeeeet...... But you should have just got a 383 from AR. They put out way more power.

I think that the added power comes from not running cats.. The factory numbers for the LS1 are with accessories - including cats.. The cats eat up big HP compared to a effective exhaust system with no cats...

stock C5's put down between 305 to 315 to the wheels, so I'd say you're right in the ball park

70LS1 - I'm running 3:55's, probably need to go to 4:10's.
Scooter - I was looking for a reliable motor. Just kidding AR fans.
GS - Considering the what the C-5 puts down, I would think there are some F-bodys out there to watch out for.
I'll scan the sheet on Monday and get it posted. Thanks for all the great post.
