Some people like it and some people do not. Try the search feature for several threads about this top.
I have one, sitting in my attic because it does not seal well against the front corner of the side windows. The company said to reposition the weatherstripping to correct this gap. It is rather hard, because of its size, to put behind the seats.
After have used it for several months I prefer my regular tops or the AM vinyl tops that I am refitting currently.

I have one but it's an older version. I sure hope that they updated a few things or I sure wouldn't waste my money on it. For a quick fix it's fine but if you plan on keeping this for any lemgth of time I would suggest finding some new seals as mine have cracked all to He_ L and back. Mounting is much to be desired if you plan on taking it in and out repeatedly but other than that I would say its fine LOL

that is one STUNNING vette u got there david. i've had my astro top on for 13 yrs now. i love it, gives me at least 3 extra inches of headroom. it fits perfect, i've had no problems w/fixtures coming loose or weatherstripping. they do leak just as the originals do but i don't drive it in the rain except when mother nature throws a me curveball. 1st thing people do when they 1st see my vette is ooh and awe over the top and they always want to touch it, drives me nuts. i got the last red one made.
btw mine doesn't fit behind the seats. also do not buy the 2 piece tops, those are terrible, did that and sent em back for the 1 piece. i have some better pics on this link. http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/331969

Personally I don't care for mine. Had it about 2 years and the glue that holds the weatherstrip to the acrylic is letting go. Now has major wind noise above about 65mph. Acrylic scratches easy. Major leaks right out of the box. Had to do some minor modifications to the top to get it to pull down tighter. Plastic on plastic squeaks kind of a lot on bumpy roads. Smoke tint is not so good. Looking back I'd rather have bought it clear and had it tinted. I'm looking to buy the glass tops next and see how that goes; not from Astro.
I think I will hold off letting Santa Claus know about this company and their Astro Top. I just replaced the weatherstripping on my car and it worked out well. I was thinking the Astro Top might be a nice change somedays mainly due to the fact you can see through it.
I spent many hours getting the glass to seal as good as I could get it on the new weatherstripping to eliminate wind noise. I am reluctant to risk messing that up for a product that others are not raving over.
Thanks for the input and the compliment on my car. Maybe I will email Santa and hint about sidepipes?
i had one on my previous vette, and had no problems what so ever. wouldn't hesitate to buy another astro top in the future if i ever buy another coupe. my 2 cents
I have one and like it. Cons are wind noise above 70mph. & heat from sun light. I put one of those static cling sunshades from ecklers ($25.) and that did the trick for heat reduction. I bought mine from a member on the forum that was like brand new for $200. >1 year later still looks new.
