Default Which intake vacuum fitting do I need?

1980 w/air.

Do I get part #452024 or #453064. Not sure if these are GM part numbers. I got the info from Corvette Central.

Thanks, Les

EDIT: Sorry I was looking for both a heater hose fitting and a vaccuum port fitting...

Those numbers are for intake heater hose spouts. This is a 1980 intake. You need a vacuum fitting with three ports.

This one might work.

Thanks for the advice Paul.

I need one with three ports, all on the side. I can't have one on top due to the Speed Demon carb. It won't clear the top port.

Thanks, Les

Will this part work for an '80? it's for 64-69, but it seems to be in the right configuration.

Part# 302179

OK, non-stock. Can't help you. Once you get into the nether region then you have to fab.

I called them and they weren't much help.
What do the vacuum fittings control anyway?
If I don't really need them to drive the car I'll do without until next season.
I just need to get the car into storage.

Is #302179 the same size?
I'll use that one because of clearance issues.

If automatic, transmission modulator valve and all your headlamp vacuum circuits. I have never had A/C but there should be a console control function there as well.

Which one is on top?
This is the one I'm having problems with.

The one on top is the hard line to the vacuum modulator maybe?

I would be using a couple of plastic T-fittings and calling it a day.

If you have three ports like the one in the photo, one is for the trans modular, one for the headlight vacuum, and one for the servo for the cruise control. That three input vacuum fitting in the photo is a discontinued item and is almost impossible to find at any of the resto houses. When it was available it sold for $70.00. I was unable to use it on my Edelbrock Performer manifold so I bought a two port side input fitting for a '75 and the put a plastic tee on the bottom port and connected two lines to that and the third line to the top port. It works perfectly and does not interfere with my air cleaner.

I need one of those myself but I have not looked into it yet. Not sure I need it anymore at that price. There has got to be a close substitute available on a Buick or whatever in the boneyard. T-fittings are just going to keep doing the job for now. Oh well...

Les,
Check my link to the Paragon fitting again. Three ports on the side and $19.00.

Paul, I don't think that port will work for his application. The one port is much fatter than the other two and I think it goes to the brake booster. His brake booster line comes off the back of the carb if I'm not mistaken.

You are probably right. I am not familiar with the 1980 fitting. But AGVI may wish to have a look at Paragon. There is more than a dozen to choose from.

Thanks Paul, I contacted Paragon.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to any other solutions like just getting a brass fitting with the same size thread and just 'teeing' it off to all of the vacuum lines?

Any pics would be appreciated.
