Default disassembling sunvisor?

Anyone know how to take the visor off the chromed windshield/t-top trim piece? I pried off the circular cap. Inside it looks like a retainer and a spring.I tried turning the visor several times but it is not screwing off, any suggestions? I looked at the AIM but it just showed the parts, not how to disassemble.

I believe that you can take a long screw driver, or the like, and a hammer, and lightly pop the visor out of the retainer ring. It doesn't screw into anything but is held in by the retainer ring that you see. You do this from the top. I have had the opposite problem, where my visor would fall out into my lap when on less than perfect roads, so I just recently bought the retainer ring and spring to install, though I have yet to do so. But, having seen all the parts in question, there are no threads for anything to screw into.
