BBC serpintine belts
Anyone do this mod to their big block? Let me clarify this. Is there a serpintine set that can be taken from a recent production bb , ie 454, and adapted to my 540, exluding Zoop, March and Vintage Air's kits. I thought there was an old thread about someone having done this but I seen to be unable to get any of the old threads I had bookmarked. thx

I used a late model truck 454 bracket from a 91, But I did have to create some stuff, spacers for the lower pulley, water pump pulley and block spacers for the water pump. The only other problem is that you need a pretty big cowl hood to clear it all. I have the Ecklers full tilt nose with 3" cowl hood so it all just slid under the hood.

I dont have it on a big block, but I have it on my small block, the whole thing came from Zoops and the quality is excellent. I would say you deffinately need the "outward" mount system, the vertical or front drive systems won't fit without major mods.
I would give Zoops a call and discuss what you want to do, they proved to be very helpful.
I know march make systems, as do concept one pulleys and street and performance.
