Jewl theres plenty of mods you can do these cars,just depends on what your preference is,i like original cars too but there not for me.For exhaust you might want to look into chambered exhaust from mid america,or sidepipes with shields.Suspension you can look into vette brake products,you can lower the front with coil springs and longer rear bolts to get the back to drop some.YOu can fit a 275/50/15 rear tire under neath of it,or can go to 17 inch rims or 18 inch rim and get a wider tire.HOpe that helps some.
