Took the headlight actuator out again
) headlight a couple of years ago, and it didn't help!! Headlights come up ok, but the p/s is real slow to go down, and has gotten slower. Sometimes it will sit there for a full minute before snapping shut! I was thinking it might be an adjustment of the stop rather than a leak somewhere. I noticed the boot was all pulled up so I took the whole thing out. But, I noticed (how could I have missed this before??) that one of the springs is missing! There are 2 sets of springs - 4 total, and I am missing one. Wonder if this could make it slow to close. Anyway, the actuator holds vacuum real well. I need to check the hoses going into the accuator to make sure they are sucking well. Might wait til after the Peterson verdict to go back to the garage....

Have you checked out the control relays and made sure they are leak free. This could be part of the problem too. Here is a link to check their operations and make sure they are leak free.
