Anyone ever used or heard of Vtech Corvette? They are in ILL. and seem to have pretty good prices on rebuilt Trailing Arms (249.00) plus S&H 250.00 core deposit. Just curious. Don't think I've ever heard their name on the forum site.

not sure what happened to last post...but lets try this again
this is almost too good.....i wonder if they have core standards that are impossible to meet... there by effectively raising the cost to 249+ 250= $499
Just my .02, but you area asking for trouble at a price like that. Remove your trailing arms and send them to Van Steel for rebuilding or the other guys in Pennsylvania who shall remain nameless since they are not sponsers. (but they do great work also.)
It it seems too good to be true....
I looked at their web page and they seem to do the same things as others when rebuilding. They charge $249 while someone else is charging $296. I rebuilt my trailing arms and the cost for the parts was under $75 per side, bearings, races, seals, spindle nut, stainless steel parking brake harware, new brake shoes, front bushing, and Mobile-1 grease. I did not replace the wheel studs or dust shield which would add another $30 or so to the price. The rest of the cost is labor/profit. I would think it only takes them at most a couple of hours to rebuild one, if that. I'm surre there are some that take longer than others. That does not mean you can drop them off at 10am and pick up at 1pm the same day. The advantage the shops have in being able to do rather quickly is that they do it quite often and the trailing arm of one car is the same as another. They have the required tools, press, and the knowledge. The advantage that Van Steel has is they have a great reputation of doing quality work and backing up what they do. It's hard to put a figure on that, put you will get peace of mind.

I rebuild them for about the same part cost, add $100 for a spindle or $85 for a new T arm-but those come with the front bushing and 4 studs installed.
