Tank sticker ?
I have heard of these" tank stickers "being found during body off restorations. Do some of the later C3's such as my '80 have such a thing? If so , what type of info is found on these stickers ? Has anyone found them on thier cars?

I found mine on top of the tap. The lettering was faded but still very visible. It was a blast to retrieve and had a lot of cool stuff on it, like what the original radio code was, ect. My car is also an 80. I got to it by removing the spare tire carrier and reaching the top of the gas tank from that angle. Be careful, part of the sheet is glued on and will stick to the tank unless you are very careful. I also , (by accident) left a tiny portion of the sheet that was glued super solid on the gas tank, so if anyone ever wanted to it could be matched to the remainder of the sheet that I managed to retrieve. Sort of fitting a peice to a puzzle. This might be the only way to prove that the build sheet you have came from your car. Not really an issue for an 80, but for a rare vette something to think about.
