Where to find the date number on my diff?
Just wandering where i would look to find the date month year of the diff, I have found some nubers on the diff, but with it being pretty greasy, it makes it tough!

You did'nt say what year car, but if you have a '75-'79 with a stock rear Y pipe and heat shield, you will not be able to see it. The shield will need to be removed to see the stampings. They will be on the rearmost flange of the diiferential itself-not the "cover" the spring bolts to.

It Is A 69, But There Is No Numbers, That Have A 9 In Them Or An 8 At Least, Doesn't Make Sence, Because I Cant See This Being A Replacement Diff, As It So Looks To Be Original With The Amount Of Grease And Grit On It.
