Default Got my new Speed Demon!

After many weeks of waiting for a 0-feedback EBay member to get his act together. (Delayed shipping for over 10 days due to personal issues) The moron actually shipped the carb wrapped in imitation leather in an otherwise empty NAPA oil box. (edit: Almost forgot, the box was only sealed with two pieces of clear packing tape that popped off when I tried to lift it.) It is pure miracle that the carb and attached fuel line did not get smashed to bits on the way. The only damage was on the throttle linkage and looks to be superficial.

Here it is, BG Speed Demon 750 Single Pumper, Vacuum Secondaries:

dusty

Fuel line included, rubber hose will be temporary

Those marks on the fake red leather are where the throttle linkage punched some holes through it.

Also, by the dust I'm assuming it's been sitting for a while, so I will probably rebuild it soon. It'll undoubtedly take some tuning to get it running well, but I have Lars' papers among other things. I can already see the transfer slots are not properly exposed/covered.

Finally...

You can see that it is a single pumper, can I upgrade to double, and would it be worth it for my 350hp-ish street car?

Looking forward to shining this baby up and seeing how she runs

-Chris

I'm at work, but I think his name was "916thomas". I did leave him a positive since I got it in the end, but my feedback remarks should scare off anyone who reads them. "Shipping delayed. Carb shipped poorly wrapped in an otherwise empty box." In retrospect maybe I shouldn't have been so nice, oh well.

Any comments on the single/double pumper thing?
