Default H-Pipe or X-pipe pictures

I am planning my next "improvement" (not a mod!).

I need pics of H-pipe or X-pipe setups.

Does anyone have an X-pipe fitted on a C3 with pictures?
Does anyone have an H-pipe fitted on a C3 with pictures?

I currently have 2&1/2 inch mandrel bent stainless exhaust but want to install a H or X.

I did look at some last year but lost the pics.

Thanks,

Pete

Here's a pic of my setup. It's dynomax Ceramacoat headers going into 3 inch collectors. They go into 2 1/2 inch pipes with a crossover under the tranny. These pipes connect to the stock 2 1/2 inch stainless pipes which go into Dynomax Ultraflow polished stainless exhaust.

This might help, pic from buildup. 3" pipe to 2.5" Dr. Gas crossover. Obviously not stock trans crossmember, but concept is the same.

Nice wheels, adapters or bolt on?

PS: I'm going to be running an H-pipe to flowmasters. Is this something the muffler shop can do with the body off with the right knowledge or should I wait til I get the body on so they can be properly routed?

I have an H pipe on mine. Pictures are on the other computer right now. I had a ball and socket done on mine so it will come apart easily. I'm glad I had it done as I have had the exhaust off 3 times already and plan to take it off this winter for some work. Mine comes apart in about 3 different pieces and does not leak at all.

Gordonm,

Excuse my ignorance but what is a ball and socket? I want mine to bolt together also. I have had my car apart too many times.

Thanks. I have a magnaflow X-pipe still in the box. I think I like that design better. I need to find a way to bolt mine in or change to the Dr Gas style or a H-pipe.

Cheers,

Pete

I will have to get on my other computer and send you a picture. Basically they flare one side of the tube so something like a tennis ball will fit snug into it. The other side is flaired slightly larger so when they are together it stay sealed nice and tight. There is a 3 hole header type flange on either side and long bolts hold it together and clamp it. Knid of tough to explain pictures help out.

Bryan:

Adapters on the wheels - I took extra steps in regards to bearings etc. 2 years, many miles, no problems.

Stingry:

I found a better pic, shows the ball connections (2 flanges by diff.) referred to by Gordon. They are a lifesaver for no leaks and quick take apart. Some better pics of the assy. are in the street catalog on drgas.com

I saw that too, and a pair of heim ended "trailing" arms, that sure looks like a guldstrand setup. Can you snap some more pics of that?

Its a Protofab/Riley 5 link. Same design as Guldstrand. These are the only 2 decent pics I have right now. I should get it on a lift and take some more someday.
