Can anyone give me info on tru-ray rims/wheels? I have a set Im looking to get rid of that are currently on my ride. They are a spoke rim with crossed flags on the cap. I tryed looking for info on the internet but I can't find anything. I posted them for sale as spoke rims and I thought I had them sold but the guy thought they were something different, and he told me I have a rare set of rims and I can get more than Im asking on the ebay?
So, how manufactured them and when did they go out of business? What are they worth?
Those wheels are close to the ones used on 80's Eldorados and mid 60's T-Birds. They were made by Kelsey-Hayes and valued by the desire of the person wanting them. The biggest problem for a Corvette is the weight, They are all steel and very heavy, compared to the aluminum wheels.
If they are perfect (No Rust, or rim dents) they are propbably worth $50 -$200 depending on the need and desire of the potential buyer.
Look good on a occasional show car, not good for performance driving
