Default one way check valve in brake bleeders

i saw these in the new echlers , c-3 catalog,,, says there for 1 man brake bleeding.. has a check valve inside of bleeder so air and fluid get out when you press pedal ,, but when you release pedal no air gets sucked back in the line,,, was wondering if any had tried these,, and if so how well they work,,,

Called speed bleeders. SOme like them I have never used them. They have been around for a while. Good idea, I just made my own pressure bleeder.

They work great. Had them on my C4 and have put them on my 69. I used clear vinyl tubing that slipped over the bleeder and ran the tube to a water bottle with a "sport" type cap. Knock the center out of the cap and fit the tube in the hole. Use enought tubing to allow you to run to the farthest caliper and place the bottle the the floor by the driver. That way you can watch for bubbles and/or clean fluid as you pump the brake pedal. Just don't let the master cylinder go dry. I can bleed the brakes by myself in about thirty minutes and that includes removing the wheels.

I use them on my car and they have worked great. Just like cart3113, I used them with a vinyl tube and a jar. Very easy to use.

PS. Speedbleeders are something that you can buy at your local Discount Auto parts store. I've seen them there, just not the right size, so they may have to order them but at least you wouldn't have to pay postage and handling.

You'll need more than 4. I think it's (8) bleeders for our 4 calipers.
That's a nice price - $6/pr.

Well, 6 bleeders, two on each rear and one on each front. At least that is how mine is.

I use speed bleeders, or earls slow bleeders (same idea) on all of my vehicles... I'll never do another brake job without a set handy if they aren't already in the calipers...

Are you supposed to use all 3 when bleeding? If so, I don't think I've been doing it right.

Do you have a design for the pressure bleeder? I would love to have one in my garage.

The third hole (the lower one) on the rear calipers is only supposed to have a plug fitting installed. It's not intended to be a bleeder location.

Check www.corvettefaq.com and look under brakes. Basically it's just a flat piece of steel taped for a quick hose disconnect. You sandwhich a piece of rubber to cover the top of the mc with a hole cut around the fitting, and clamp it down. Then you just hook up your compressor to about 5psi and let 'er rip!

Yes. I've seen them in Discount Auto Parts for a different make of car. Make sure you get the right ones.
