Default Offset t-arm ???

I have everything installed on my rear suspension rebuild including offset t-arms. We tried to align it yesterday and ran into a problem with the rt. t-arm. In order to get it in alignment (1/8 total toe in) the rt t-arm is just touching the inboard side of the t-am pocket. I noticed the metal doubler in the pocket was a little pushed out so I took my grinder and filed it down a bit. This helped but it still seems a little close to me. Has anyone who has installed offsets run into this problem?

I apoligize since its been many yrs now but i think i recall something similar. I just bent mine out of the way (big hammer). The joint gets more strength once the pivit bolt is tight'ned up - there is a torque spec and i recall a cotter pin, grease required too. And those shims don't look like they add any strength so it must not be a issue. I dont't think both sides can move to affect the alignment once bolted up. Yea u don't want 2 bend it 2 much and weakin it.
Hope this can help. cardo0
