Default Zip Corvette Interior Pkg - Good Deal for $1195?

I received an email from Zip featuring the $1195 Interior Pkg (2" or 4" Leather mounted on cushions, Carpet Set and two Door panels). Good deal or keep shopping? I priced these items individually last year and the same items were: 4" Covers $360, Foam $316, Install Kit $50+, Carpet $258, 2 Door Panels $478, . Total: over $1550 and I would have had to iinstall the covers! This sounds like a very good deal from where I'm sitting!

Items I also will be shopping for at the likes of Zip, Corvette America and others:
* Replacement doeskin steering wheel
* Steering wheel emblem
* Dashboard
* Cardboard shift console side trim
* Rear storage compartment doors kit
* Floor mats
* Passenger Visor light kit

I'll be retaining/refurbishing:
* Sun Visors
* Arm rests
* Park brake Cover
* Seat buckets
* Plastic interior trim pieces

Advice, input, recommendations welcome!

Ted,
That price sounds fair to me.

Just a note on the steering wheel. Those repros in the catalogues come from France and they do not fit well. The spokes meet flush in the centre/back and some shimming is required. The GM wheel has one spoke protruding out more than the other two for proper positioning. You would be better off getting Chuck Pelton (a member here) to refurbish yours. That is what I did when I had the 1979 and he did a wonderful job.

Glad to give my steering wheel refurb business to a fellow forum member. Please advise how I may contact Chuck. Anybody that can beat the $220 rebuild charge from Zip and others while delivering quality is tops in my book

And a question for the forum, do we still qualify for the 10% resto discount when we purchase $850 or more in parts at one time from Zip? My running total on the order I'm working this afternoon is just north of $2K...

I bought a re-wrapped steering wheel from The Last Detail a while ago for $190.00. It was shipped from Chuck Pelton. When I shipped my core to him he sent me a check back for the core charge that was initially charged from TLD. The wheel looks great!. You might want to check with TLD on your interior package, they would probably match or beat any prices that you have been quoted.

I'm sure that the price you quoted is for leather seats in your post above, this e-bay post below has a complete interior package that uses the leather "like" covers for $690 in case you are interested. jim

Check out Dr. Rebuild in Ct. They always seem to have cheap prices along with good quality products. Good luck.

Got all my interior parts from The Last Detail. Everything was first class and even the door panels went on very easy. Fit was perfect.
On the seatbelts, I had mine restored by Seatbelt City. He did a great job and was reasonable. If you like just PM me and I will give you his phone #.
Good luck
Bob
