Default strong glue for door panel armrest

anyone know of a strong glue i could buy to repair a very small crack in the drivers side door skin ,,right in the area where the arm rest goes down-- panels are not very old and just noticed the small crack, also noticed there is foam behind there ,, so the glue would have to be fairly thick- i can always touch up with the oxblood die/paint after the glue dries----carl

Liquid Nails (from Lowes or Home Depot) will work fine, I don't think you need anything exotic. This glue is holding my T-top headliners in place (for four weeks now, knock on wood....)

Liquid Nails will glue your nutz to your leg (it was an accident, I swear!).

There are several different formulations of Liquid Nails at your local big box. Read the labels and choose the one for plastic (I think it's for glueing plastic shower panels in place).

Gorilla glue is available at Home Depot. It looked thick and incredibly tough...

Carl: Could you post a photo so that we could see the length, width and depth of the panel crack you are attempting to repair?

Depending on the size of the crack, I have seen clear "super glue" type adhesive used to stop the spread of the crack and seal it. If the crack is so large that you need a filler and then intend to paint it, Liquid Nail is a good choice.

the crack is ard 2-3'' long, its right under the arm rest- runs along the botton of the armrest,,, i probably did it shifting my weight in the car, id take a picture ,but my daughter had the digital camera and sleeps till 2 pm and then goes to school and then work so i really cant wake her- im gonna try the liquid nails- and tape the split tog,, then in a couple days ill remove the tape and if i can see a hairline crack ill fill it in with oxblood die/paint---- thanks guys----carl
