No big deal
Guess what? It wasn't nearly as tough as some would have you believe. I even replaced all the cables, and lubricated all the moving parts in the process.
The whole job: Removing wheels, rotors, calipers, e-brake shoes, springs, etc.... plus installing new cables, stainless steel shoes, springs, etc... took about 6-hours. I did it while listening to the 49ers getting whipped by Tampa Bay.
Took my time and took a lot of breaks so I wouldn't burn out on the project. It came out perfect. The brakes hold beautifully.
Some tips: Purchase the special install tool... it works great! Purchase a nice set of skinny long nose pliers to install the springs... and assemble the thumb wheel and lower springs first.
And lastly, Don't believe all the people who tell you this is the biggest PITA project in the world. It's not. And it's worth it when you're done.
