Lesi seem to recall you also have a speed demon.. right? Edelbrock makes a throttle stud with a "cotter pin" for retaining the cable that fits in the linkage hole for about $5 from a local speed shop, thats what i'm using.

looks like they have the sizes 1/4 or 7/32 backwards inthe SDPC catalog

EDIT: it looks likes it 3/16 when i measured it??? my carb has one on now that a friend gave me so i can't measure the hole until i take it out. looks like the nut is the same size though...
