I did on my 75.The shroud is a "B" the hardest part of it, seems like it should be 2 piece's. They told me to loosen the rad. support bracket mine has A/C so that doesn't seem like a opition as I don't want to move those A/C fittings that much
The shroud is the worst part, but with the fan gone and no a/c or nothin else there it shouldn't be too difficult. then the rad just slips right out. There is no reason to remove the hood for this unless you want to for some reason.
I didn't have any accessories in or a suspension when I removed my radiator. It was fairly easy. Just unbolt and lift out, then get the shroud out. The shroud took some finese` but it came out. It didn't go back in. I went electric. So much more room.
There are a bunch of different shroud configurations. Some are easy, some are very difficult. Some are one piece, some are smaller or shorter with extensions, while others have been "bubba-ized" (cut in half) . Some shrouds are almost impossible to get out without loosening the radiator support at the top. It does make the job much easier with the hood off.

Pull the hood, but mark the position of the hinges with masking tape first. It's a much easier job with the hood gone.
