Default new corvette ??

On my way home tonight from a turkey dinner, following my friend in his Big Ford Truck, just behind him in the slow lane,a newer vette rolls
up next to me.to make it a short story I was not impressed at how the new one ran.

The old 270 horse ran very good tonight in the cool air,I am happy
with the old Doug Nash ,it helped even the odds.

Then I think to myself if I buy a new one I will have to move to
a new section, Guess I stay aroud here for awhile longer and
chat with the C-3ers,wouldn't be happy anywhere else.

Nothing against anyone that has a C4 or newer Vette,it just seems to me that after the C3 the vette lost it's idenity style wise. You allways waited for the new vette to come out and you just new it would be something special. Then the computer took over and dictated the way ALL cars would look. You can only do so much with a jellybean shape. All the real auto stylist are gone. The machines have taken over.

on my way out yesterday, in the cold rain, saw about 8 c4's & c5's, but not a single C1-C3. These new car owners don't even keep there vette's home in the bad weather, C3's rule.

I was bored the other day and went to the local dealership with my 16 year old boy. (He loves to drive the vert) We sat in a new one on the showroom floor. I hated it. It was way to BIG inside and way to much computer stuff. I could'nt get out until the salesman saw me claw'in at the door and came the the rescue and pushed another button. The thing does not even have a key. I would like to see what a C6 is going to look like after it's 25 years old and had afew water leaks.

IF the C5-6 uses open cell foam for weather stripping like the C4 does, it WILL rust prematurely, and have a TON of water leaks....

no question about it, that is one major reason I dumped my C4...

Not sure I agree with all as the C6 is concerned. 405hp at rear wheels, and 27mpg has my attention.

Eh, driving in snow is bad. Salt will ruin a car, especially a classic
