Default improved floorboard plug (pics)

Here is the top and bottom view of My new floorboard plug.

Materials list (does both sides)
(2) 1/4" x 1/2" S.S. Screw
(4) 1/4"i.d. x 1-1/2"o.d. S.S. Washer
(2) 1/4"i.d. x 1-1/2"o.d. Neoprene Washer
(2) 1/4"i.d. x 3/4"o.d. x 1/8"thick Nylon Washer
(2) 1/4" S.S. Jamb Nut
J.B.Weld

First I cut a slot in the end of the threaded portion of the screw. This is so I can hold the screw still while I turn the nut when the carpet is in. I also ground the head of the screw to about half of its original thickness. Then I JB welded the screw to the S.S, Fender Washer. Finally I reduced the diameter of the Nylon washer to about 5/8" so that it fit easily into the hole in the floorboard (the purpose of the nylon washer is to keep the assembly centered in the hole) and glued it to the Fender Washer.

The neoprene washer goes on the bottom to keep water out.

I placed the original plugs in my safe deposit box next to my air cleaner wing nut collection.

I believe this is a 1 point deduction for a non-essential non-performance enhancing modification. I know it's only one point but I have a stock engine and need to get rid of as many points as I can.

I was going to suggest a wine bottle cork, but yours is a little better Wish my bottom looks as good as yours.

Isn't the stock one a plastic cup plug? I guess you'll loose points from the restoration and performance guys but I’ll give you a point for bling because it's stainless
