Received my new offset trailingarms from Dan at VanSteel a few weeks ago. I'm about ready to install them. I cleaned up the orginal halfshaft bolt flanges that bolt to the inside spindle and was about to bolt them to the new vansteel spindles but noticed a problem.
One of them has a dented ring and has caused a seal to push out. The ring is dented almost clear down the thickness of the seal. I tried calling Vansteel but they must be closed for the weekend. I ordered more good stuff from Dan last week and he is always helpful and I know he would be with this too but I'll have to wait until Monday to try calling again. In the mean time does anyone have an idea what it is going to take to fix the problem? I drew an arrow to the metal ring that is dented and the seal can be seen out of place.
Give Dan a call monday. Don't mess with it. I am sure they will send out an exchange for you or something. Bearings and seals are a form of sorcery leave it to the experts.
