I finally got it all done. It was easier than I thought it would be. The worst part was installing the new center console, there's a lot of crap stuffed under there. Here are some pics, go to my gallery to see more.
Thanks to everyone that helped me out with info, tips, & moral support.
This is the old blue interior
Work in progress
Your '82 looks awesome !!!! If other havn't gone to your other photos on the side profile they are missing out . The picture at the car show with sparkle off the chrome tailpipe is a new desktop on my computer. After seeing those pictures of your 82 I am even more convinced that the 80-81-82 was the water mark for corvette style . Well done, I don't smoke but I think I need a cigarette!!!!! Brent

Nice job. Looks like I should have hired you to do my interior work on mine. Nice looking car to begin with, the new interior just makes for an even nicer ride.
Looks great!
What kind of insulation is that, that you put down under the carpet?
I forget the name, but I got it at Lowes, I think its Reflexit or something like that. It's about 1/8" thk. and conforms easily to floor pan.
About $25 for a roll, didn't even use the whole roll.
Thanks for all the praise I feel even better about the work I put into it. The only problem I have now is since the new foam is so much thicker than the old seats that now my head hits the roof. Hopfully the foam will compress somewhat over time.
Anyone else have that problem?
The new interior really makes your car perfect! My 79 came to life when I installed mine this Spring. I used the same Insulation from Lowes; really cuts the heat! Congradulations on a fantastic job!
