Default Vacuum Lines

I have been working on the vacuum lines under the hood of my car and have a question about one. This is the line that goes to the vacuum controlled EGR/EFE switch that is part of the thermostat housing and has 3 vacuum ports on it; one is the vacuum source from the carb and the other two routed vacuum out to controll these two devices.

The EGR valve was removed when the intake manifold went on. The EFE actuator was removed when the headers went on. The two vacuum lines going out to these devices have been capped off but the manifold source is still attached.

My question is since these two devices are gone and the vacuum from the switch does nothing, can I do away with the vacuum source to the switch from the carb and simply cap it at the carb.

Thanks Milo.

Will have to get another thermostat cover that will be more attractive. I like the look of the pro-billet aluminum units but they are not cheap.
