Default Wheels: Hot or Not?

Getting cold feet about my wheel choice but I have plenty of time to decide so I thought I'd get the forums opinion I borrowed a picture of redson's car from the gallery (hope he doesn't mind) since he had 17" wheels. One of my concerns with my wheel choice is they wouldn't be big enough. So I photochopped them in using his wheels as a scale:

The final car will be electron blue, and it's going to be a '77 with an 80 front and rear end if you can visualize that. Also the rocker panels will be black like his. Well what do all of you guys think??

Bry

PS: They're the Motorsport Z06 Wheels from my other post. Also I'm going to put in a custom gas cap like my other post with an allen-head screw pattern ring and chromed to match the pattern on the wheels

I forgot to mention I hope to have my ride height lower than that

This chop shows the detail of the pattern; it was too subtle in the last one and it was my main concern because the lip makes the rims appear small. However, the wheels will be chrome like the first one.

they are a little too blinkin' for my taste. Its hard to tell though without seeing them on the car. A nice metalic paint job may help..

I don't like them on your ride. I would go with something with a deeper look. JMHO.

I think there are better choices out there if it were my car. But I like how you are doing the phootochopping - best way to.

I thought the Motorsport wheels actually had 4.5 inch backspacing. So that means they will have a pretty good sized dish to them wouldnt it?

Don't get me wrong. Those are good looking rims. Just not on a C-3.

yeah, c3's need a deep dish IMO, the z06 wheels dont have barely any dish so i wouldnt think they would look right on a c3, they do look good on c5's however and newer cars...just not our old cars

The scale of the wheels seems a bit too small. I've got 17's and they fill up the wells quite a bit more than what your 'chop seems to show... What size tires are you modeling/considering? Mine are 255/50-17.

This is the best side-on shot I've got right now.

It looks better lowered, but still not good enough to justify the purchase.
