Stroker Kit
http://www.larrysperformance.com/data/assemkits.html
They sell a 383 stroker kit for $1200.00. They say the crank is cast steel and I can spec the cam.
This seems cheap to me.
Any comments?

I picked up a stroker kit from a local engine builder/machine shop for about $850. This was all new parts with balancing: Scat crank, Scat rods, Speed Pro pistons, moly rings, bearings, complete gasket kit plus add'l gaskets for vortec heads, SFI flex plate, harmonic damper. I picked up a prepped block from a friend for $350.
I am trying to decide between rebuilding my original motor (69 350/350)
or putting together a stroker. Money will dictate the final answer, but, I think with a kit like this one the cost will be about the same.
Any other suggestions will be greaty appreciated.
Thanks.

doesn't seem to bad
