Default Got Rubber?

I was driving my '81 over to the storage garage today and just had to plant my right foot one last time before the spring thaw. I was amazed when I chirped the tires on the slushbox 1-2 shift...I guess 60# of air will allow that

Must be nice, haven't planted my right foot since I blew a couple of gears out of my original tranny a couple of months ago, since then I have been granny shifting the replacemnet tranny. I can't wait to be able to smoke 'em up again in the spring when I get the new TKO 600

I know the feeling. All I have at the moment is a stock 76, L-48, automatic, with 3.08 gears. I changed the exhaust and added a B&M shift kit. The car was on jack stands for the last couple of months cleaning up/painting the rear and rebuildiing the rear suspension. It sure was nice to take it out to night and listen to it chirp the tires as it slammed into second. For those who think the L-48 is a pure dog have not been in one when the exhaust system is changed to allow it run.
