Motor Oil Grade and Type
Just curious about what type (Castrol, Penzoil, etc) and grade (10W40, 5W-30, etc) motor oil you use in your Vette. Mine is a '75 w/97K miles.

Since I don't drive my vette in real cold weather, straight SAE30 works for me. I get about 5psi more pressure than with 10W30. Also I change it often, so cheap NAPA oil and the best NAPA filter is what I buy. Joe
PS single weight oil has less additives than multi-weight, so I think it is better.

Quaker State 10W-30 still breaking engine in. May switch to synthetic next oil change (next year).

I use Valvoline Durablend 10W30 in all my vehicles.
Keeps rocker noise low. I tried Quaker State once (on sale) and noticed an increase in rocker noise in my 4.3L Blazer-switched back to Valvoline and the noise disappeared.

Oil
Started with Castrol in 1976 and still use it when I can, have even torn down engines that ran exclusivly on castrol and they were still clean at 40,000. Good stuff.
