Default 1974 Headlight problems

Hello,

I have 1974 Corvette...the headlights come up fine but won't close when I turn off the headlight switch. I have to close them by hand and when I do that, it feels like there is presure in the actuators.

Thanks for your help...

it feels like there is pressure in the accuators no matter if the vacuum is hooked up or not. I'd start by investigating the web site below, it should get you started in the right direction...

this seems like a good thread to post my exact opposite problem....my lights won't come up. however, if i pull the light **** out and push the lights up by hand, they stay up and go down normally when i push the **** back in. i don't know much about the vaccum system....just got my assembly manual and will be looking into it, but any advice would be helpful. thanks.
