The 53K Classic White'80 has signs of it going now ( missing already) and the other is the reason I got to buy it. The guy had pulled the engine in 1987 because of a cam lobe going away and he never got the engine rebuilt. I bought it without an engine and transmission.
The L48 camshafts steel was soft from the vendor. It wasn't just Corvettes but all GM L-48 engines during this time. jim
