well,
i got someone to photoshop my vette together for me... still figuring out a green though.. trial and error..... i do need the mirrors though so someone donate something to me......... i have all this stuff going out but nothing coming in... hehehe....... it's better to give than to receive i guess..... but i still need to get the vette finished
If you are looking for a cool green color...I had a '71 Z-28 that was a lime green with a gold metallic base from the factory. With the gold base it gives the green a different, more subtle color instead of the harsh lime or "golf course" greens. Believe me when I had seen the ad in the paper for the Z the color wasn't mentioned, so I asked and when the guy said green I said "I'll get back to you". Well I obviously went and looked at the car because I bought it. It's nice and DIFFERENT
well considering that my vette will and will not be ncrs, it will be "my" vette...... it won't really be pimped because unlike the show, i rebuilt the rear end with 90% all new parts, rebuilt the motor, cleaned the underneath and painted the frame, rebuilt the front suspension, did most of the body work myself, and all the parts that were reused, i sandblasted and painted them......if, i had the space when i started, i would have pulled the body off...but...... i going towards the more custom/street cruiser look...... some will like it, most will hate it....
that's fine

i live downriver..rouge......in the midst of all the refineries...that might explain a few issues with me....

I withdraw my insensitive comment. The avatar makes it look like a "photoshop" picture. That's why I made the comment. I'm sure your car is very nice and you justifiably should be proud of it. I NEVER criticize others vehicles no matter how jacked up I think they are.
You'd be surprised at the reactions to Elkhart Green, which is far less radical than your photoshop. Although it was the 2nd most popular color in 1972 (second only to Orange), few remember it and there are very few on the road. Some like it and some hate it. I had a woman roll down her window to tell me what a car it was and then say "too bad it's green, but at least it's a vette." Pretty ignorant.
It's time for a paint job and I'm really struggling with what color to paint it, not because I don't love it, but because it's an opportunity to do something different. If I ever do sell it, Quick Sale Red would be the color of choice.
As long as you are happy with it, that's all that matters. The wheels are off the hook. That is going to be a huge challenge getting them to fit. Nothing a sawsal can't handle.
doors handle and locks are shaved, chrome and black rear suspension, custom audio setup, molded bumpers..........dynomatted the entire interior with extreme heat and noise dynomat

I like it. I was going to paint my street rod "playschool green" if the black didn't look straight enough, but it came out great so it stayed black. I'd advise against a lot of metal flake in the green, though. Joe
yeah, i'm not a big fan of metal flake.... actually the rims and tires fit... i took an image from a guys vette but his was an 82 and photoshoped the rear glass to make a 77...... 3" front drop and 4" rear drop.... the only thing that i won't have that is on the image is the front spoiler.... once i get the file from the guy that did it i'm going to do some different green tones........ anyone see my pics..... what you think..not bad considering that i was just gonna paint it and redo the interior when i got it..... i got that vette sickness.........
The work done so far looks great, you should be proud of it. I like the look and color because it's different, if it was done by the name of Troy, Jesse James or someother popular builder today then it would be worth way more than if we do it ourselves, and be liked so much more because of the builders name attached to it
