Two tone interiors?
Thinking about moving on to my interior. Saw a beautiful silver-gray Boxter w/a red and black interior a couple years ago. Ever since then I've been planning on doing mine in red and black. I already have red Al Knock door panels and was going to get the carpeting from him too. My seats will be the C5's and remain black. I was thinking of doing the carpeting in '70 red to match the door panels. Door panels and carpeting will be red everything else will be black.
Sounds like a good combination. You might want to dye/paint the dash red, too, to complete the wraparound look from the doors. Keep the console and seats black for contrast. Joe
yup. black and red striped custom leather seats with integrated headrest. Red doors and floors black dask to the vent and red behind. Cameras broken, sorry no pics for a while.

How well does that paint hold up?
I think that would reduce some of the glare I get too.
You shoulda heard these guys on another forum, bad mouthing the Red & Silver combo from the factory on 1gen Camaro's.
You're asking my opinion !!!??? Len, "I think", because your paint job is 2-tone (and looks great), a 2-tone interior would be 2-much . Again, "I think" the color of your interior would look good the same color as the darker part of your paint. The only 2-tone interior in a Corvette that I have seen and liked is in the Z06 (black with red inserts). And I have seen a C4 black interior with red (factory) that looked good.
I have a 1973 rag top big block I am restoring (mostly a original restoration, with only bolt on changes) I am considering using red carpets and seats, (to the disapointment of my NCRS buuddies) The car is silver, (original color) how do you guys think that would look like.
Cal
That would look better if the console was all black, yellow inserts instead of the "wood" on the door, get rid of that yellow on the passenger-side dash, all black carpet and NO FLOOR MATS. Hopefully that is a black car and not yellow.

Great!
I think I'm going to change from red to oxblood after seeing Carl's post about his interior pieces. Oxblood is more of the color I saw in that Porsche I liked. Red is a little too bright and I think oxblood will fit better with black and won't contrast as much as the red.

Len, Looking at your avatar and seeing where you live, it must be hunting season and ox blood is more readily available.
I'm thinking about going with gray carpets in my dark blue interiour... might make it easier to see into the corners at night! Also thinking about some lighter colored seats. Navy is as bad as black!
Medium blue is whats going on for paint... or something similar!

It's yellow, look at the hood....the thing looks like a giant bumble bee, too busy w/ all the accents. I like 2 tones, if it's kept simple.
