Hi,
I recently had the steering column out on my '74 and decided to remove the driver's side dash, clean things up and when I put it all back together I all of a sudden had the door ajar buzzer working. It is really annoying and I want to disconnect it, however, if I remember correctly it is difficult to access (ie. without removing the dash, which is difficult in itself).
How would I go about disconnecting the door ajar buzzer. Is there a fuse, or a wire I can snip or disconnect?

Thanks in advance,

As I recall, mine was tied into the harness, above the speedo as it wrapped up and over. If you just pull the dash pad off , you will see it right at the top.
Removing the driver's side dash is a problem for me. It doesn't come off easy. I had it out when I had the steering column out and I know the buzzer is above the spedometre. Is there another way of disconnecting it without removing the dash? Also, it's impossible to get my hands up there, so that's not an option.
On my 72, the switch in the door jam is easily accessible. You can pull the wires out through the hole the switch goes in after you unscrew the switch. You can disconnect it there if your 74 is like a 72. I don't know if they are, but it won't hurt to look. Tom
