Default Paint will be done today

Ive been down and out with kidney stones for over a week and i think i finally passed the last one so i got started back on the paint.Im working on my last coat of clear in 15 minutes then ill be wetsanding and buffing this week. One small run on door and very light dust to sand out.I started spraying the base yesterday and ran out 3/4 through,i bought a new spray gun from my buddy(matco dealer) gravity feed non hvlp, and forgot how much more paint they use .Well i went and got another quart and different guy mixed it this time and yep got home started spraying and it didnt match.Called them up and they made me 2 new quarts for free(i buy alot of paint from them) and got started back on it this morning. And then of course nothing like dragging the hose through the front fender then waiting for it to setup and sand it out. Im done with this car after this no more painting, chips scrapes cracks i dont care i want to drive it to kentucky for the cruisin 6 in may.I got alot to do.

Glad to hear your feeling better. You do need to drive it. I have not seen it on the road in a while.

I'm waiting to see how it looks after all the work you put in it. And I'm glad you're finally back on your feet. Stay healthy. Btw, where do you get your paint from? I usually get mine from Till's but I'm open to other places if the price is right.

what type of heater are you using in your garage while you are painting? i always have to wait till spring for my 75 degree temps. i am dying to paint my 81. it has been ready for about a month now. i have one of the 115,000 btu torpedo heaters, but i don't want to turn my garage into a bomb. any insight you can give will be appreciated.

Thats exaclty what i use,i heat garage up to 100,yes itll get to 100 then shut down, paint, let fumes die down then restart it back up for a few hours to dry it.But i was inside house and didnt realize temps were dropping otherwise i wouldve turn on heater sooner and only had 1 run.
