Yeah, that makes no sense.

I didn't know that the 80-82 strut rods were bent/different.

I do know that a lot of vette strut rods have been bent by alignment shops to get the car in spec.

I'm sure someone with a 80-82 can help.

Just noticed----Brandon

They can only go on one way. If the angle was out the rod wouldn't move enough to get it in the bracket on the diff or the spindle arm without a lot of force.

If the end of the rod (round eye with bushing) is parallel with the bolt going through you're fine.

On my 80 I use rod ends so it's not an issue.

re-explain, when you put it in, if it is right the part that connects to the spindle should be more forward relative to the car then the part connected to the camber adjustment

Yes, mount them so they point to the front of the car because on 80-82 the camber bracket is spaced backwards compared to earlier diffs (where it's directly under the 1/2 shaft)

So the camber bracket side must be further back than the front.

The camber rods are angled, as in the round ends are welded on under and angle:

The way those 2 are lying in the pic, it'd be the left (passenger) side of the car and the side you see would be mounted in the bracket and the other end on the hub.
