Default 1977 Interior: Red

In 1977 is the
red interior a one year only? I have purchased interior pcs that are 1977 red and some match and some are more of a cinammon or a darker red. I am wondering if the 1977 red is a one year only (like the steering column is a 1 year only)
Thanks!!!!!

I have the buckskin and it's about three different shades. Only way to get them to match is to dye them yourself. Chuck

I don't know about the 77 but I have Red in my 80 and everything matches maybe I just got lucky? Also there are two different Reds one is Bright and the other is a dark Red and you can easily tell the difference between the two.
Look in Ecklers I'm pretty sure they have a color chart you can look at.

According to The Black Book in 1977.

Interior colors were Blue, Black, Buckskin, Brown, Red, Smoked Grey and white.

There are two exterior red's listed though, #72 Medium red and #83 Corvette dark red.

There was actually one Chartruse 1977 Corvette made. Wonder what happened to it?

mine is a bright red interior ...... I thought that was stock until I took it apart to clean it and found a second layer of carpet ...... It is maroonish red ...... found out the previous owner had all interior parts dyed to the bright red, and seats recovered also ....... looks good to me though .........Robert
