As of Sunday I am now the proud new owner of a Daytona Yellow 1970 t-top small block
As a new member , thanks for the offers and advice from everyone who contacted me
I already have the interior out to dry !! The saga is just beginning as you all know
Watch this space for my cries for help .
Oh by the way how do I find out how the original car was specced -
"TOLD YOU !!! - SEE I'VE STARTED ALREADY"
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE
Congrats & welcome!
Best starting points to find out your original specs are the VIN and the trim tag. You should pick up a Corvette Little Black Book, comes in awfully handy. But if you post your VIN and trim tag (tag is in the driver's side doorjam if it's still there) no doubt some friendly soul here will pass along the info.

Congrats on the new vette. You might want to consider joining the 1970 Corvette Registry. It is run by a member and has a ton of info on the 1970 Corvette. Check it out.

And proud you should be! That's a lovely car. Just curious: Interior out to dry?

The carpet was soaking after I washed it when I got it home after the 320 mile trip home .
Don't know if it was the washing or the trailer ride that got the carpet wet - seats seem fine
Probably leave the carpet out for a while to see where the water is coming from ?
The passenger side T-Top did seem a little out of line - How well do the tops and trim pieces line up ?
Weatherstrip looks in fine fettle {good condition}
