rear spring question
i have replaced the entire rear end except the diff, halfs, and leaf so now i want to get a monospring for the rear... my concern is that i will be lowering the car about 4" in the rear so i would need a tight/hard spring..... i wouldn't mind getting longet bolts but would that affect the travel distance if i was to hit a hole...i.e. when longer bolts are used less of the force of the spring is usedto force the car up therefore lowering the car..... now since the spring is relaxed would it take more distance for it to move vertically to create the force in order to bring it back down.... i think i kind of explained it..... am i looking too deep into this...... i just don't want the inside of my tire wall to hit the frame if i hit a bump... i know the camber will affect this but still with a tighter/less arch spring i think i'll be ok.....

The spring will not lower the ride heigth as most aftermarket springs increase the height - most come with 8" bolts to get the rear down to where it was before...
