Default R4 Compressor bracket

Anyone running an R4 Harrsion A/C compressor with tall valve covers? If so, what did you do about the bracket that goes to the intake manifold?

Anyway, this is more of a
"now that I'm in it, i gotta do this or my compressor's gonna break something"
rather than while I'm at it.

How's the head install going?

I've been staring at the parts long enough. So it's time for me to get started! This is my "holiday project".

Hopefully I won't catch WIAI Disease while the engine is torn down...

When I had the R4, I eliminated the extra bracket to the intake a long time ago. Currently a Sanden type & no bracket to intake.

Ganey,
any adverse effects by removing that bracket with the R4 running? I intend to update to a Sanden as well someday, but I'm going to have wait until finances alllow. Sounds like that would cost the price of the compressor, brackets and hose at the minimum.

No.
The brackets are heavy & I cut the bracket weight again several more pounds for the comp. change. I designed my own bracket setup & they may become available so if you decide to change the comp., you might want to e-mail.
