Default 2" Dominator Hood anyone?

Anyone have the 2" Dominator hood or a picture of one? Even a pic of the 4" would be nice. I sold my stock hood as everyone said the RamJet wouldn't fit and I don't think the L-88 would look good with the 80-82 front end I'm putting on (although I could be wrong). This looks like a nice alternative but I'd like to see it on a shark first. Thanks!

In looking at what's on the web it seems that the 2 inch dominator comes only in a "race weight" version which doesn't work with the normal hinges but must be pinned at each corner. There's a heavy duty model that works with the stock hinge system but only comes in a 4.5 inch version. If anyone knows of a heavy duty version in the 2 inch size I'd be happy to hear it.

THE ICEMAN,
Keith
Keith, Bry Nice find....that car looks "intimidating"....but, IMHO the L-88 design breaks up that big bulge a little and makes the lines flow better. Just my 2 cents

I had a '69 with the 2" dominator-style hood. I really liked it on that car...better than the L88 hood, actually.

I agree I went with the stinger hood just to give it some character the to me the Dominator just looks like my stock 80 hood raised a little higher and I hate spending $ for the same look. I had a tough time deciding between the TT, L88, or Stinger hood. I chose the stinger because I see less of them

Bullshark: The 350. I wish the 502!

Any other alternatives? The 4" looks way too big, the 2" is only race weight I guess. Does anyone have the L88 on an 80 front end to see how it looks? Thanks

Bry

PS: While I'm at it, has anyone supercharged a Ram Jet 350 before? I'd like to eventually bump it up to 400/400 at the rear wheels but It looks like you need a new computer blah

Have you checked vanacor's website. They have a 2 1/4" over stock induction hood. I was looking at one of this hoods sometime ago in the Houston Corvette Show and it looked very well made.

I think it's between the 68-82 Cowl Induction and the L-88. What do you guys think?? This will be an 80-82 Front end on a '77 with an 80-82 rear end...

Jughead, is the hood picture that you posted a 4" overstock or a hood 2" overstock? It looks to me about 4" overstock, its hard to tell on pictures.

My hood is homemade, I think the cowl is about 5" tall

I have no idea, it's from one of the links posted above. Looks too tall for a 2".
