Finally going to drop off the drive shaft to get cut today so I should be able to get it installed and weld up my trans bracket, should be able to get it done over the holidays, if no snow I hope to take a test drive before year end. If it is a success I will post some pics, if not I will keep it to myself.
I'm really interested in your success. I've been reading the T5 threads for the last couple of years with great anticipation. I too hope to go the T5 route in the not to distant future. Good luck and please share your experience when you are done.

Believe it was $100 for the cutting and balancing so pretty much in line with what you where qouted. I went to drop it off this morning and the guy as if I had the trans yoke, said you get a better balance with it attach, makes me think they are more interested in doing it right then just making a quick $100.
BTW I am using a TH350 take apart yoke from a C3, perfect fit for the T5.
Fevre, are you using a Ford or GM T-5? Did you have to make the aluminum adapter or did you use a different bellhousing? Updates are good, keep them coming.
I am using a GM, only real mod to the car thus far is cutting the trans tunnel. I think the only other thing I will need is to drill holes in the crossmember to bolt the trans bracket I am fabing up, I am basically going to use a 6" long section of 4" angle iron to bolt to the bottom of the crossmember with a notch cut in it to so the vertical side will stradle the trans, I am then going to use a 5" section of 2" angle iron to bolt the trans mount to and weld them together, should be plenty strong. I am a first ime welder so the welds will be pretty ugly but I did some practice welds with some angle iron and then put peice in a vise and used a sledge hammer to see if I could break it loose, notta chance.
EDIT: Opps, guess cutting the drive shaft counts as a mod to. :o
Cool, so a GM T-5 but did you use your stock bellhousing?
Bolts right up to the vette bellhousing, I had to enlarge the bolt holes in the T5 to accomodate the muncie bolts and they where tight to get in but did fit.
What year range T5 should you get to fit the C3.I believe there is a non-world class & a world class.Exactly what is the weak link with these trannys that makes everyone against them, can they be strengthened in any way,to take more torque?
