Default Interior question on early sharks.

Was there ever a white interior package available? I need to replace some of my interior parts, and my wife suggested replacing the bright blue with white. (The car is LeMans Blue).

If white is available, am I correct to assume that the seats and all the other interior vinyl would be white as well, with blue carpet?

Any advice is appreciated.

No white interiors until 1976. Never saw one or pictures either. Joe

I don't think any of the early C3s came with white but I'm pretty sure the latter models did. If you can get the seat covers in the color you want you can paint the rest of the panels with vinyl spray to match.

White crushed velour is an excellent choice! However, stains are very difficult to remove...

I don't think so. I know a guy that has a pearl white '69 with a red crushed velour interior. I'm sure it was the bomb back in the day.

Thanks to everyone else for the help.

Jeff-got the check the other day. Your motor with the valve covers looks just like my '75 L-82 does. Looks SUPERB. Glad you're OK with them. I hope they were "as described".

Paul - good deal. I like the way they look too. I am very pleased with them, and they were better than you described them. Thanks for the great deal.

Go to http://www.nitroalley.net the Al Knoch interior makers. They can custom make any original pattern for any year in the color you want through this web site. Just E mail them. .

I think the LeMans blue paint would look good with the gunmetal grey interior(similar silver-grey to the 78 Indy Pace Car) which was available in 69.

75 had a neutral vinyl but I don't have any idea what "color" it is. White shows up for the first time in 76 in vinyl and in leather.

This thread reminds me of the time my girlfriend got in my 80 model with oyster white leather interior wearing a new bright red dress. It was summertime in Texas and we had the t-tops off. When she got out of the car my passenger interior seat was red! The red dye from her "expensive" new red dress had rubbed off--and into-- my white leather. It took me several days to remove the red dye--which never did completely come out.

Take it from me..my wife has several of those "expensive dresses" and an "expensive dress" dye will not run....period.

I don't eat or drink in my car. My buddy has a '66 roadster, Nassau blue with white interior and it looks sharp. I'm just talking about the vinyl, not the carpet.
